The Ekkyo solution

For the most part resulting from the pioneering work of Ekkyo’s founding scientists and surgeons, the Ekkyo’s approach is based on the therapeutic effects of controlled selective hyperthermia.

Called LASH (Laser Assisted Skin Healing), this innovative technology aims to stimulate the natural regeneration and repair mechanisms of the skin, initiated at the critical moment of wound closure.
Precisely applied at this phase, the controlled increasing of temperature triggers heat stress, which reduces inflammation, improves the scar healing process, increases the tension resistance of the wound and reduces the residual scarring.

After being validated in animals, Ekkyo recently demonstrated the relevance of its approach in humans through a pilot clinical trial focusing on long horizontal scars from abdominoplasty.
