Ekkyo has tracked down several patents involving devices showing some similarities with the EkkyLite® system, but none of these will prevent Ekkyo from going ahead with this project.

The company will pursue the expansion of its patent portfolio, pursuing its proprietary approach to scat treatment.

Ekkyo has developed a unique panel of know-how and intellectual property covering all aspects of the R&D and production chain. The company has already filed 5 patent applications:

• The contactless device and method using RFID* tag and reader with an adhesive dressing.
• The device and method to secure a laser for treatment of the skin with an adhesive dressing using a direct contact between the laser and the dressing.
• The device and method to wirelessly secure a laser used to treat skin conditions.
• The laser device to treat skin conditions.
